Tonight I put a coat of stain on the inside edges of the door frames. Looks just like yesterday’s picture, doesn’t it? :-)
Tomorrow I’ll apply the first coat of polyurethane, and it’ll look pretty much exactly the same. This is the story of finishing. It’s one of the most important steps of any project and one of the most dauntingly subtle.
